The Essentials Online
This online professional development resource will give you a step-by-step guide to transforming your classroom into a rehearsal room, inspiring and developing your active teaching of Shakespeare.
It is designed for all teachers, whether you are new to teaching Shakespeare or an experienced practitioner. You can purchase an individual licence or a site licence for use by any staff member in your school to support whole school or department professional development.
When you buy a licence, you will have access for 12 months to the my.teachingshakespare platform which hosts the unique teaching films and supporting resources. This includes 10+ hours of carefully sequenced films, organised into 10 learning units that will engage you in every aspect of planning, teaching and reflecting on your Shakespeare classroom.
Using Romeo and Juliet as the focus you will develop new insights and practices through the ideas and guidance of expert teachers, world leading academics and RSC artists.
